This is so unbelievably gay and retarded that it makes me want to spew. I had no idea that RMN had already been, for a year, on the bullshit SJW bandwagon of silencing dissenting opinions in the name of "tolerance". Because nothing is more "tolerant" than banning speech you disagree with, am i rite?.
Unless you are also specifically banning degrading language towards men (which would also be equally gay and retarded), this is an unbelievably despicably sexist double standard.
Let me be perfectly clear:
Here is another thing. This new rule, which I was totally unaware of, was specifically cited as a reason for my bullshit ban.
But when I said that "Zoe Quinn is a lying whore", that was not remotely "degrading language towards women". It insults one specific woman: Zoe Quinn. It reflects upon other women not at all. It effects other women not at all. It has nothing to do with the woman I have been dating for eight years, nothing to do with the woman whose team I was working on for the Game Jam that went on DURING this entire debacle.
The idea that calling Zoe Quinn a whore somehow degrades all women is a dangerous and toxic fallacy that is probably more harmful to women than to anyone else.
If someone says "Solitayre is kind of a prick" is that NOW "degrading language towards (ALL) men"? That the only reason it isn't considered that is because of a bullshit, sexist double standard is a dark reflection of the society we seem to be tumbling towards, headlong.
You are absolutely correct that you are not infringing upon our legal First Amendment right to freedom of speech. However, it is absolutely clear that you do not give a shit about Freedom of Speech because you have not protected it with your site's policies and TOS, and therefore you are still horrible fascists.
"Civil" human beings can still call someone a bitch when they are being a bitch, and that is Freedom of Speech too. It's just not allowed on your site.

Chance I will get banned for this post on the basis of it violating some unknown or conveniently made up rule: Who even knows. I wish I could say I don't care but...it's not even true that I don't care. I do care. This site is basically my sole interface with a potential audience of thousands for the hobbyist RPGs I have invested fifteen years of my life in developing. So obviously yes, I care a lot.
But I wouldn't be worth spit as a person if I cared more about the opportunity to try to get internet famous for making RPG Maker games than I did about what I actually believe to be right and wrong in the real world.
Actively and aggressively preventing the actual harassment of actual people, including women? Good and commendable.
Dictating and policing which words are and are not ALLOWED to be used on the basis of political correctness? Actual for real fucking fascism. And LITERALLY DEPLORABLE.
All I know for sure is that it seems more likely than not that I will continue to post a LOT less here. Even if I don't get banned for my opinion. Again.

Freedom of speech only applies to what the government allows you to say. If you are a United States citizen and wrote an article for a newspaper saying that you think President Obama is a terrible leader, a squad of stormtroopers will not kick down your door and drag you off to Gitmo to be tortured forever. Was really good imo for the time you had and the fact it was made in with Java. Did have a glitch at first where I somehow walked through getting the radio warped into the wall next to it and infinity got fragged and had to end the program to even exit BUT other than that good job!

Max, what you are failing to understand despite it being explained to you very frequently is that nobody cares about this. You posting your sixteen page manifesto trying to assassinate someone's character isn't going to suddenly convince anyone to hate Zoe Quinn or support #GamerGate.

I'm sorry to keep bringing up the ban--I would love to never mention it again--but when you say SJWs don't control anything that's laughable on the face of it, since SJWs or at the very least SJW rhetoric plainly holds a controlling stake in, at the very least, RMN. 1. Nope. It's by definition a conspiracy but it's not terribly elaborate and it's certainly not just a theory. I have seen far more compelling and obvious evidence of corruption associated with SilverString Media and the IGF than evidence that those entities aren't corrupt.

Since day one the entire "movement" has been about people wearing blindfolds and soundproof earmuffs screaming "I'M RIGHT" at each other as loud as possible. People can talk about the GG "discussion" as much as they want, but there is no discussion. If anyone actually gave a single shit about female representation or ehtics in gaming journalism or whatever they pretend to support they'd be out there doing their part to affect it, not screeching at people on the internet like fucking children.
To a large degree...I agree with you. The entire confluence of the #GamerGate schism and the degree to which it has fractured and fragmented the entire gaming community is really sad and upsetting.

So it is looking like we probably don't qualify for even the 10 MS badge this time. Barring my team mates doing something amazing during the rest of the day.
The scope that we were aiming for was way too pie-in-the-sky big for our intensity levels, and not to be 'that guy' but I kind of knew it from the beginning and said so (if we had all worked as hard as Unity every day, in a way that was actually coordinated and efficient, that might have been a different story, but eh, I'm not stressing it. Wasn't nobody payin' us, and it wasn't even a proper contest.) And then in the last days of the jam Unity and I both got shackled with some kind of winter death plague.
Not qualifying will be...a bit of a bummer. But I have to say it was a very fun experience nonetheless. And to be honest, I am quite glad that I didn't go "as hard as humanly possible" and gam mak myself to the verge of literal, physical death like LockeZ, even if that would have meant we had something to show. While I respect his dedication, I am not ashamed of prioritizing my actual physical health and energy levels over MakerScore. I'm not as young as I used to be. (I gave birth to Backstage in just under a month back in college in 2005 and it almost killed me.)
